Upon reflection, my experience with the teacher, Ms. Pratima has been nothing short of excellent. From an academic perspective, I found it to be a highly enriching and rewarding journey, as it provided me with ample opportunities to develop and hone my analytical skills. Maybe there could be a document with some notes about different techniques that can be used for paper 1 should have been helpful.

I feel the classes were highly informative with a lot of scope for learning.Since my perspective was constantly challenged, it was helpful that a plethora of outside research was meshed with the textbook content. The activities at the start of the year were innovative, but there were times when the task required little more clarity due to the constraints of virtual execution.

Throughout the year, I had a great experience learning with Ms.Pratima @Yesmindz. I'm grateful for the teacher’s patience in teaching and taking the time to explain every point in detail, making sure that I am left with a deep understanding of what's being taught. I appreciate that even though some things had to be repeated, the teacher still carefully explained the issue or concept each time. The teaching style was also good, as it wasn't discouraging, which pushed me to improve my English language skills. For me with a busy sports schedule online learning is very useful. During busy times, it's easier to schedule a class to another time or day if I missed any, and also have additional classes during times where I need them. I didn't face any significant difficulties through this online learning experience.

After joining Yesmindz, I learnt to analyse and interpret texts differently, which increased my interest in the language. By writing down points to analyse texts or by verbally saying them, the way I interpret things and how to write them down changed a lot. Going through my literature books line by line, comparing them consistently and even connecting them to my IO topic improved my understanding of the texts. Even in TOK, while googling about my examples for the exhibition or the essay, the teacher encouraged me to really understand the examples by researching. This allowed me to break down the questions and compare theories. I could have done more timed handwritten practices to ensure that there isn't a time issue in the exam. However, I was consistently writing answers for paper 1 and paper 2 virtually, which really improved the way I write.

I have been taking classes since 8th grade, and it has been a wonderful experience as the main goal for these classes was to improve my English language and literature skills. This resulted in a gradual increase in my grade by having consistent classes @yesmindz. The online learning experience was helpful as most of the work was done on a google doc. where comments on essays were easy to read and understand. It was also easy to go back to the essays and edit them when needed.

Working with Ms. Pratima has been an experience. She has helped me with English classes since IGCSEs up to the end of my IB Diploma Programme which has had a positive impact on my academic ability in English. Since the start of the class, I could see a significant improvement in my English analytical skills, and my ability to analyse complex texts and structure my arguments effectively. What stands out the most when working with Ma’am is her focus on discipline and efficiency. She places high value on time management, which has helped me stay on top of the demanding workload that comes with the IBDP. Ma’am always personalizes lessons to tailor my specific needs in English; she has always challenged and encouraged me to do better throughout the 4 years I have taken English classes with her. There was no real technical difficulty while doing her classes, Ma’am always was engaging and focused on providing the best learning experience to me.

English has never been the same after joining Yesmindz. These two years were not just an academic experience, it was transformative. My approach towards English as a subject changed drastically and learning it did not feel mechanical or distant. Pratima ma’am did not merely teach grammar rules or literary devices; she taught me how to think and answer. She constantly encouraged me to ask “why” instead of simply accepting the “what” in a question. Over these two years,my marks improved significantly, but the deeper impact was on my mindset. Even after the end of our session, the way I read, write, and think will continue to reflect her influence.

The comfort was undeniable. I attended the online classes from the comfort of my own room. There was no rushing to reach a particular location or to lift a heavy bag. Pratima ma’am was always available and encouraged me, whenever I had doubts, which made the experience even more reassuring. Another positive aspect of online learning, especially at Yesmindz was the interactive competitions and events that have been hosted here. The inter-disciplinary competition stood out the most for me. Never have I ever imagined myself getting out of my comfort zone and making an infographics for a competition. It challenged me creatively and pushed me to try something new. I was also amazed by the effort and planning that went into making the competition a success. Learning English @Yesmindz will surely be one of my most unique learning experiences. The difficulties, however, were subtle. Apart from the occasional internet problems or a lagging computer, there were no major obstacles. Despite these small challenges, the overall experience remained positive and impactful.
