I joined the academy about 6 months back when I was starting my TOK essay and needed helpin writing it. The teacher (Pratima Roy) helped me in understanding different aspects of it first then startingsuggesting edits and providing me the help I needed. I could see the quality of the essayincreasing day by day. After the submission of the essay came my Internal Orals and syllabuscompletion for which the ma’am provided a significant help. She has a great grasp of thelanguage and the literature aspect of the subject which made her answer my doubts andimprove the quality of my academic English. All the classes happened virtually @ Yesmindz academy platform because of thegeographical barrier. Surprisingly, even then the quality of education was as good as in a physical 1 to 1class. The teacher is very strict at times in terms of punctuality and the deadlines of homeworkgiven. The teacher can give you the days of classes with which we are convenient with, whichprovided me a comfortable time slot.

Ms Pratima Roy in my opinion is a wonderful teacher, she has supported me largely throughout my last year of the IBDP program and has greatly helped with my TOK Essay, English IO, English HL Essay as well as my English essays. She has always given constructive feedback and always has helped me improve in many aspects of my writing, which has been reflected in my grades. I really do appreciate her efforts in teaching me and helping me to become better in my academics as a whole. Using the YesMindz online platform has helped me be able to connect with my teacher. Yemindz classes are extremely helpful and convenient. I learnt how to improve my answering techniques and structure in a couple of months when I had been struggling for almost a year. The classes are also quite structured, so it is very clear as to what is expected of the student for each class. Ms. Pratima has been a really big help for me. Her teaching style helped me boost my grade up from a B to an A in just a couple of months. She explains points and themes very clearly and taught me what is expected in my literature answers, and how to structure and analyse my points in such a way to get the maximum marks. I really appreciate her help and am very thankful to her.

Throughout the lessons, the teacher was able to critique and provide feedback for my Paper 1, Paper 2, IO, and EE, (despite being an SL student, I attempted EE). Even though our approaches to a text were a bit different sometimes, it was oftentimes refreshing, as a new insight allowed me to better understand the purpose and meaning of many different texts. I see my teacher to be passionate and enthusiastic while explaining topics. She makes sure I understand it completely. She is little strict but that is to make us do our work properly.
